CRAZY HAIR DAY- TUESDAY, JAN. 27TH

The Tale of Despereaux Novel Study

After months reading Kate DiCamillo's, "The Tale of Despereaux," students created their poster with a wordle, artwork, and writing about their favorite part and connections to the plot.  We wrapped up our novel study by watching the movie together.  This week we will write paragraphs and rate the story.

  

 Patience created her own Despereaux t-shirt using fabric paint.

Maddy writes a wordle using a variety of words from the novel (i.e., character names, adjectives describing the characters and setting, plot, and interesting vocabulary).

Peer Tutoring

We spent time in Ms. McLean's classroom last week, teaching and practicing addition with regrouping.

GRIZZLY VISIT

Hockey players came to our classroom to talk about what it's like to play for the Victoria Grizzlies and signed agendas for our students.

Tuesday
Today me, Maddy, and Rose did spelling and I got 11/12.  My mom was still proud of me.  That's all for today.

Wednesday
Today we had Art and it was fun.  I got to finish my Crazy Hair Day poster and then we got to hang them on the school walls.  We also did soccer and it was really fun.  Then we went outside and I played tetherball at recess.

The Victoria Grizzlies came to visit and they signed our agendas. We also finished our Despereaux novel posters.

Quinn's dad taught us lacrosse today and we had a game. The game was tied 1-1. We all really liked it!

Bodhi did an awesome job on Scientist of the Day!  Ms. Decicco even came to watch.  Bodhi demonstrated Musical Glasses using wine glasses and water.  The students thought it was cool.

Thursday
This morning we went to the computer lab and did a wordle. It was really fun.  After we do art we're going to go see our little buddies.

In gym we learned new soccer drills.  The class ran two laps outside before lunch.  We finished our posters for Wacky Hair Day on Tuesday.
