Splatter Painting

The wind added extra excitement to our splatter paint party on Monday and we all enjoyed experimenting with paint like Jackson Pollack.  Gorgeous artwork will be sent home on Wed.

We were happy to have Karter join our class in January.  He is our final student of the week and he did an excellent job completing the details on his poster.  He brought in his favorite stuffies to show and tell us about.

Check out our first student-blogger!  Hannah brainstormed topics of interest in the school and classroom and then developed questions to ask her classmates about the Spring Fair.  She interviewed students about their experiences at the Spring Fair before writing a rough and final draft.  Hannah practiced designing her post, which included typing her work, deciding on the layout, and adding images.  She will eventually teach her classmates how to write their own posts.

Other interested students are developing their ideas for their own posts on our classroom blog.  They may describe activities happening around the classroom or in our school.

The Spring Fair.

The Spring Fair was really fun. Ava's favorite game was the fish pond, because she got a whole bag of candy. Shayla and Keira's favorite game was the cake walk. On the cake walk Hannah and Jenna got one cake. Dom even got three! Hayden had to miss the Spring Fair because he had baseball practice. But Hayden didn't care. Hayden loves baseball! Ali's favorite part of the Spring Fair was fishing for candy, and Melia's favorite part was the obstacle course. Melia, Hannah, and Jenna saw each other, and Hannah bought a water balloon. Every one had a great time.  It really was the best!
