Our class had the opportunity to visit the Luxton Historical Archives and go through a number of stations in small groups. Some of the stations included grinding wheat, writing with ink and a quill, washing and wringing clothing, and using phones and typewriters from different eras. Students were also able to view and touch items from the last hundred years such as newspapers and sit in the original Happy Valley school house desks. The archives has an incredible collection of material from the school and community over the past century.
