Fun with Math

Today the children worked in pairs to count large groups of beads.  They had to develop a strategy that would make counting over 100 items easier.  Some partners made groups of two or five or ten.  They decided that making groups of ten was the best strategy.  They had such a great time and did an excellent job of counting all those tiny beads!
